Intercontinental
Intercontinental is a young district of Hurghada, which began to be built up in 2004. Its name comes from the InterContinental hotel of the same name, now it has become the Movenpick Resort. The new area is located opposite this hotel, on the second line from the sea. A lot of luxury real estate is being built here - this will be one of the most promising areas for living. From the north, the region borders with the El Mamsha region, from the south - with the Magawish region, from the west - the Mubarak-6 region, from the east - the sea. The area of the district is 0.45 sq. km, the length is 1 km
The area is predominantly inhabited by foreigners, including wealthy Egyptians from Cairo and other Egyptian cities. Houses with European modern planning are being built here, most of them are residential complexes with swimming pools, saunas and restaurants. There are several picturesque villas. Almost all housing in the area is represented by the primary market. The sea is at a distance of 100-250 meters. Within walking distance is an excellent clean and cozy city beach N9, where mostly foreigners rest. Also nearby is a surfing beach, where championships of various countries in kite surfing and surfing are held annually.
The infrastructure of the region is just beginning to develop. Currently, there are almost no places for leisure and cultural entertainment. There are several shops with essential goods, a hospital, a couple of restaurants and night bars. However, all the infrastructure and entertainment is in abundance in the neighboring El Mamsha area (a 5-minute walk).
The area is also famous for the location of the Russian Consulate in Hurghada.
