Registration in the ownership of an apartment or villa in Hurghada. Green contract

Green Contract in English, or Tazgil in arabic language. Green Contract is a document issued by state agencies to the owner of real estate in Hurghada, Egypt
It can be issued for several people at once or only for one

  • Green Contract guarantees the inviolability of your property
  • Green Contract. It is drawn up not through the court, but through Sharaa Akari (notary office)
In order to receive a Green Contract for an apartment, the land and the house must also have a Green Contract. The term for the registration of the Green Contract is quite long, about a year or more. The price of a Green Contract has to be agreed with lawyer.  The price depends on many factors. From the indicated value of your property, apartment or villa, from the attorney’s rates and from the ways in which he will conduct the registration. In addition, a one-time tax is paid in state. Documents (for foreigners) required for registration of the Green Contract for an apartment or villa in Sharaa Akari:
1) Taukil from the seller in the name of the buyer;
2) A copy of the Green contract for land and the house (taken from the owner of the house); if there is no house contract on Green, then it is taken only to the ground
3) Sale and purchase agreement, registered in court and hokm (court decision)
4) Passport with a valid extended visa
If there is no Green contract for the plot and the house in the which is your apartment or villa, then the Green contract will be refused

For comparison, registering a sales contract in court (Sahih Taukiya) is like buying a car by proxy and a Green Contract (Grin Contract in English, or Tazgil) is like buying a car with a complete renewal of ownership.
